Radar Engineer

Key Role:

Research, design, develop, and test structures, propulsion units, and guidance and control subsystems for aircraft, missiles, and spacecraft. Analyze aerospace product and equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced by existing manufacturing and processing facilities and methods. Evaluate new technologies for their application to improving the design of aerospace systems. Plan, coordinate, direct, and evaluate aerospace systems testing. Perform risk assessments of aerospace systems and analyze the generation of risk mitigation plans and strategies. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience in a radar engineering or technical role

-Experience in a major staff or program office

-Experience with requirements development

-Experience with the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)

-Ability to think, plan, and work at both tactical and strategic levels

-Secret clearance required

-BA or BS degree required

Additional Qualifications:

-Possession of excellent organizational and project management skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA or MS degree preferred
