GCyber Project Execution Manager in Arlington, Virginia

GCyber is actively seeking a seasoned Project Execution Manager to lead, oversee, and ensure the successful delivery of IT projects within a dynamic DoD IT environment supporting our high-visibility federal client. This role requires a strategic thinker with a solid background in project management, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to drive projects to completion while managing risks and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

As a Project Execution Manager, you will:

 

  • Spearhead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while meeting or exceeding stakeholder expectations.

  • Lead and mentor a diverse project team, fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budget reports, and risk management plans.

  • Implement effective risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, ensuring minimal impact on project delivery and outcomes.

  • Maintain continuous communication with senior clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, potential challenges, and proposed solutions.

  • Oversee the project budget, monitoring expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures to ensure financial efficiency and accountability.

  • Make informed decisions under pressure, addressing and resolving project issues swiftly to maintain momentum and project timelines.

  • Ensure adherence to DoD IT environment standards and processes, including compliance with security and regulatory requirements.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Secret Clearance required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer sciences, business management, or a related field, with a Master’s degree preferred, showcasing a strong academic foundation in project management and IT.

  • 7+ years of experience as a Lead Project Manager, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery in complex environments.

  • 7+ years of experience within a DoD IT environment, providing an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of working in defense-related IT projects.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

  • Exceptional managerial, leadership, and communication skills, capable of leading diverse teams and engaging with high-level stakeholders.

  • Proven ability in monitoring and controlling project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and financial accountability.

  • A solid understanding of business cases, risk management processes, and the ability to navigate complex decision-making scenarios.
