This company is seeking an Okta Identity & Access Management (IAM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to contribute to an organization wide ICAM implementation. As a member of an Agile Customer Experience & Integrations team, you will collaborate directly with client stakeholders, including application owners, security officers, and product owners. Your role involves enhancing application access security, optimizing customer experience, and advocating for the adoption of an enterprise Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).

The company is located in Herndon, VA and the candidate will need to come on site 3 days a week.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Collaborate with the Principal Solution Architect, other ICAM solution component Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), ICAM PMO, and stakeholders to develop and refine ICAM solution requirements.

  • Design and implement configurations on the Okta platform to align with the overall ICAM solution architecture and meet customer requirements.

  • Drive and support the integration of customer applications into a new IAM solution based on Okta.

  • Provide Okta subject matter expertise to various program stakeholders, offering insights on application integration, IAM functionality, and Okta's feature roadmap, including aligning program goals with the roadmap.

  • Lead and participate in meetings with application stakeholders.

  • Provide updates on the sequence of application integration, technical aspects, and overall progress to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues before, during, and after application integration.

  • Monitor and expedite application integration progress.

  • Author troubleshooting and "how-to" customer documentation.

  • Approach all tasks with a DevSecOps mindset, aiming to automate and innovate whenever possible.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) or equivalent.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing, architecting, implementing, operating, and maintaining access management solutions using Okta, multifactor authentication, contextual and conditional access policies, and authorization policies for desktop and mobile devices.

  • Okta certifications.

  • Expert-level understanding of Okta’s solution suite and product roadmap.

  • Understanding and experience with Okta’s IAM solution in the context of an enterprise Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA).

  • Demonstrated experience leading workstreams, scoping and managing complex access management projects, and providing strategic and technical advisory services.

  • Demonstrated experience with authentication and authorization technologies and protocols such as SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OpenID/OpenID Connect, one-time passcodes, PKI, derived credentials, FIDO, U2F, RBAC, ABAC.

  • Demonstrated experience working on complex projects and providing technical analysis and advisory services.

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government clearance.
