GCyber NOC Operations Manager in Arlington, Virginia

GCyber is hiring a NOC Operations Manager to provide input and influencing key decisions relating to all aspects of managing JNOSC and Service Restoral operations. This position is responsible for the day-to-day management overseeing the operation and maintenance of hardware, software, networks, systems security, data integrity, VoIP, and monitoring systems. Responsible for the Event Management and Incident Management Processes.

This position is 100% on site in Arlington, VA.

As a NOC Operations Manager, you will:

 

  • Manage a team of Junior Managers and shift personnel.

  • Ensure adequate coverage for the 24/7/365 environment across classifications so that the network infrastructure is always running effectively, this includes continuous monitoring of all services and ensuring that every reasonable effort is made to restore service as quickly as possible in the event of an outage.

  • Coach and mentor senior and junior technicians to ensure personnel are working on issues as efficiently and accurately as possible in a team-oriented professional culture.

  • Meet very aggressive network availability, MTTR, and ticket handling objectives while providing hands-on leadership during network events.

  • Coordinate the rollout of software updates, network rearrangements, and the installation of new equipment and facilities with Repair, Engineering, and Field Operations

  • Develop, refine, and document the operation's policies, processes, procedures, and associated systems requirements and drive their implementation and use.

  • Work with Engineering to provide operational perspective to network upgrade and augment projects.

  • Develop and report on metrics on performance, including but not limited to MTTR, number of escalations, and tickets.

  • Drive technical staff to monitor and resolve customer issues and accomplish objectives by being a role model to impress upon staff to be self-motivated with the ambition to problem-solve, learn, and create their own mechanisms for resolving issues and most importantly, communicate effectively with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Plan projects, training, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and milestones.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

     

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance

  • BS degree in Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Telecommunications, or Management Information Systems, and a minimum of 8 -12 years of documented experience in a similar role to this position.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (i.e. Security+, CySA+, CCNA-Security, CND, GICSP, GSEC, SSP)

  • Knowledge of ITIL Processes

  • 7+ years' experience managing network administration and supporting operations for a program or customer.

  • 5+ years' experience in a DoD environment

  • Proven experience supervising assigned professional and support staff.

  • Experience with multi-tenant network architectures.

  • Familiarity with a wide variety of network routing and switching equipment devices from multiple vendors.
