ASRC Federal Holding Company Network Engineer (Active Secret) in Arlington, Virginia

ASRC Federal provides infrastructure support to a State Department customer located in Arlington, Virginia. Our team provides support for a campus-wide network, local and remote servers, and storage devices. We are looking for a Network Engineer with the technical expertise to implement, maintain, and support the network infrastructure for a campus network. The Network Engineer will be onsite in Arlington, VA with the ability to telework one day per week.

  • Provide network backbone maintenance and troubleshooting services

  • Configure and Maintain Cisco 9000 series switches and Cisco access switches for high-speed connectivity and high availability

  • Assist with other network requirements for the Fiber backbone and the enterprise wireless network

Requirements :

Qualifications

  • Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or five additional (5) years of experience

  • Required/Desired Knowledge/Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of two(2) years professional experience in relevant field

  • Cisco CCNA certification

  • Engineering experience with CISCO Routers and Switches

  • Experience maintaining and configuring Cisco switches, Cisco routers, VLANs, and multicasting technologies

  • Experience with DMZ security infrastructures and defense in depth security engineering principles

  • Working knowledge of LAN/WAN connectivity technologies including Long Haul, Short Haul Fiber, Ethernet, spanning tree protocols and wireless

  • Working knowledge and experience with inter-site connections including WAN circuits, circuit encryption, TLS technologies, and Cisco router configurations

  • knowledge of LAN administration including Internet protocols, servers and services

  • Good communication skills to work with end-user customers and within a team

  • Required Clearance:

  • Active Secret
