We are looking for a passionate and curious client-focused Construction Project Engineer to grow with our team. The candidate will work at a client facility or on-site in the MD, DC, and VA region near any of our offices in Arlington, VA; Silver Spring, MD; or Washington, DC.

This position provides management assistance for the delivery of multiple building design or renovation projects within budget and schedule, including coordinating multi-disciplined project delivery teams in the development of construction drawings and specifications in accordance with client requirements and working as the owner’s representative during the construction phase. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this position also requires direct interface with clients and contractors. Additionally, you'll be responsible for assisting with delivering large and/or multiple projects on time, within budget, and to agreed specifications, while providing effective and skilled project management to help reduce the costs of delivering projects.

This position will be assigned to projects in and around the Washington, DC, metro area.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture preferred

  • United States citizenship required

  • Project Engineer experience with a General Contractor, ideally with at least 5 years of experience

  • Experienced in using tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks, CMiC, Autodesk, PlanGrid, or similar

  • Exposure to various aspects of construction

  • Client-facing experience in this role

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects/tasks concurrently

  • Excellent communication abilities

  • Capability to coordinate with matrixed technical personnel and back-office staff

  • Ability to learn and utilize project management tools for planning, tracking, and coordinating tasks

  • Experience with building renovations and new construction projects
