Amazon Finance Manager, NA Fresh Finance in Arlington, Virginia

Description

As the finance manager supporting topline growth initiatives and long-range forecasting, you will own partnering cross-functionally with Retail, Topology, and Marketing teams to size growth initiatives and build into long-range growth plans for Grocery topline sales. This role is highly visible, with exposure to senior levels of leadership across multiple organizations. Grocery is a key investment area for the company and growing rapidly, so there will be opportunity to increase scope and exposure in this role.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead long-range topline sales planning down to customer funnel and trade area granularity, partnering with Real Estate and Topology teams to model changes to network design and store entitlement sizing.

  • Partner with Marketing team to size entitlements for new product features and growth initiatives and build into long range topline forecasting models, as well as lead automation and measurement of these initiatives against plan.

  • Partner with leads across Marketing, Real Estate, Topology to validate new science-backed forecasting models and provide thought leadership on overall planning automation.

  • Create effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events

  • Participate in hiring, developing, and mentoring peers and team members. Seek and leverage diverse perspectives in all activities.

  • Contribute to work life harmony by being a positive, collaborative, and effective influencer to new team members as an indicator of operations excellence.

About the team

Who We Are:

The Grocery Finance organization is dedicated to shaping the long-term strategy and future of grocery, omni-channel and new physical store formats across Amazon.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science) and 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
