KBR requires a Program Manager to support the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Joint Program Office (JPO) located in Crystal City, VA. The JPO manages the development, test, production, fielding and sustainment of the F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter for the USAF, USMC, USN, and International Partner and FMS customer nations.

This candidate will provide programmatic support to the F-35 Mission Systems Program Management across the proposal development and contract award for F-35 Air System including Air System Development (ASD) specific to the F-35 Block 4 Continuous Capability Development and Deployment (C2D2) approach. The candidate will synchronize planning and schedules across the Block 4 team, coordinating Service and Partner unique requirements, and facilitating Block 4 planning, execution and reporting in the F-35 enterprise. The candidate must work well with a widely-dispersed team and be assertive in capturing key inputs and data to incorporate into various products. The candidate must also have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and active listening). The candidate must be comfortable working in a very dynamic, fluid environment and enjoy problem solving.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing Chief of Staff support to the F-35 Mission Systems Program Manager in the area of event scheduling and tracking taskers.

  • Assist Mission Systems PM with Joint Program Office Organization transformation initiatives.

  • Coordinate activities in developing and updating the weekly Mission Systems Dashboard and Senior Leadership slide deck.

  • Coordinate meetings activities for Mission Systems Program Manager.

  • Update and manage the Mission Systems long range calendar/schedule used for Team coordination.

  • Proactively coordinates with stakeholders to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Facilitate collaboration among diverse civilian, military and contractor personnel and organizations.

Travel: Occasional travel may be required (10-15%) to Fort Worth, TX, and other F-35 acquisition and operations locations may be required.

  • Security Clearance: Secret

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university in related field with Engineering, Business, Management or a degree relevant to the position

  • Eight (8) years of experience in program management, technical or business analysis discipline

  • Familiarity with DoD 5000.02 acquisition policies and procedures

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles, policies, and practices of system acquisition to plan, organize, and coordinate critical aspects of the development, production, and deployment of systems, subsystems, and equipment

  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products and task tracking tools, such as TMT


  • Prior experience supporting the F-35 JPO and an understanding of the C2D2 modernization approach is a plus
