Lockheed Martin Director, Networks & Strike in Arlington, Virginia

Description: Serves as the Director and lead for US Air Force networks, C4ISR, Counter-C5ISRT, munitions, and operational analysis portfolios and reports directly to VP, Air Force & F-35, LMGA. Responsibilities include Corporation’s liaison with the Pentagon, and the Executive branch of the USAF on all matters relating to air-space integration including ABMS, CJADC2, JFN, airborne and ground moving targets programs. Additionally, includes liaise with external and internal customers on air dominance air-to-air/air-to-ground strike munitions including sensors, Hypersonics, stand-in, stand-off, and maritime strike weapons as well as mission campaigns and SAP Programs. Integrates Lockheed Martin Business Areas, Washington based Government Affairs, and Government Affairs customer-aligned offices outside of Washington DC synchronizing activities with US government customers. Works with the LMGA legislative staff to brief Congress, especially members and staff of the authorization and appropriations defense committees on all aspects of the air-space integration and conventional weapons programs. Coordinates with other LMGA mission areas on overlapping portfolios and activities related to outreach and communications. Ensures portfolio and program managers are coordinated with legislative teams implementing comprehensive and coordinated legislative, outreach, and communication strategies. Interacts with Company program leadership executives and their teams within Lockheed Martin. This position supervises two direct reports.

Key responsibilities include:

• Understanding and communicating key USAF network initiatives that overlap into C4ISR and munition business areas and customer requirements

Extensive experience in the Air Force’s Strategic Planning Choices and Core Function Teams

• Understanding of LM OA and M&S initiatives within USAF portfolios

• Working cross- BA in all aspects of network & strike initiatives and combine into a coherent message back to the customer

• Establish and maintain senior leader relationships within the DAF, specifically focused on networks, munitions, and operational analysis

Subject matter expert on USAF mission road maps and future design

• Provide Corporate written and oral communications on areas for business improvement and customer intimacy

Basic Qualifications:

Experience of USAF operations, requirements and acquisition processes

• Operational analysis and model/simulation experience

• Established relationships within the DAF and understanding of USAF initiatives

• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills at the executive level

• Thorough understanding of USAF structure, policy, and operations

• Experience and understanding of joint- networking development

• Air Force policy background

• TS/SCI qualified

Desired Skills:

• Master’s Degree

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
