The Chief of Party (COP) will provide overall leadership, management, and work with the Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) to oversee technical direction to achieve project objectives. The CoP will also serve as the key liaison between USAID, national governmental counterparts, and other public and private sector stakeholders. The offer is contingent on project being awarded.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Jacobs’s project team and serve as the primary point of contact with USAID regarding the day-to-day activity implementation and management matters relating to the Award;

  • Work with the DCOP to ensure project activities are of high technical quality and delivered on time and on budget;

  • Possess demonstrated capability to develop solid working relationships with a broad range of high-level host country government, and relevant international agencies;

  • Ensure administrative, financial and technical activities are carried out according to Jacob’s standards, policies and procedures and consistent with donor regulations;

  • Work with the Program Manager to establish appropriate monitoring mechanisms to ensure that activity progress and specific implementation concerns are regularly and promptly reported and that project objectives are met;

  • Facilitate ongoing project learning and adaptive management;

  • Act as a spokesperson for the program and present its work as necessary;

  • Ensure that solid relationships are built and maintained between and among Jacobs and sub-awardee project staff, USAID, and key local stakeholders and partners.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience. At least five years of this experience shall include managing operations in country;

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in international development, environmental, climate science or engineering or another relevant field;

  • Experience working in Indonesia is highly desired;

  • Experience implementing/leading USAID projects or other USG donor-funded projects with a contractor or international NGO;

  • Experience in Financial management: budgeting, tracking, reporting, accounting;

  • Position likely based in Jakarta, Indonesia, with significant regular domestic travel expected;

  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Bahasa is a plus.
