You will work with business operations, strategists, and scientists to maximize the value AWS delivers to our customers while also driving platform consumption. Internally facing, you will focus on improving rigor across our pipeline and project portfolio through opportunity reviews and delivery health reviews that focus on timecards, voice of the customer, customer references, demand and capacity management, and partner staffing. You will drive mechanism improvements and identify trends, blockers, and observations within our delivery portfolio. The project management rigor you drive into our portfolio of projects along with your analysis of data associated with project health will contribute to the development of our delivery strategy and drive impact against our Professional Services business objectives. You will recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, analysis, validation, and documentation; and assist with delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Key job responsibilities

• Establish an over-arching mechanism to evaluate the health of projects in our engagement portfolio via delivery health review calls.

• Create and evangelize mechanisms for critical delivery-related KPI metrics such as CSAT, customer references, demand/capacity management, and partner management.

• Drive financial efficacy by closely monitoring the accurate accounting and approval of timecards, expenses, and milestones.

• Ensure resource planners are maintained weekly by resources on projects where you are providing oversight and guidance.

• Contribute to overall business velocity by tracking and remediating ‘false starts’ and sharing results with the strategist team to accelerate future engagements.

• Design and build visualization dashboards in Salesforce to accelerate information-to-action such as project health dashboard to identify red, amber and path to green projects.

• Create a delivery playbook that will inform project managers with project management best practices.

• Support new consultant on-boarding.

• Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual planning and execution activities.

• Contribute to programs, methodologies, and reports for analyzing and presenting data.

• Contribute to the writing of narratives around project performance for internal audiences.

• Assist with tracking and measuring program effectiveness and organizational productivity.

• Collaborate with engagement leaders, partner teams, and customer health teams to deliver successful customer outcomes.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years working in a project environment in a PMO or project coordination role

  • Demonstrated experience managing successful projects

  • Demonstrated experience generating business reports

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree

• Experience managing professional services projects

• Experience presenting business, project, and solution topics to audiences of different roles including technical experts, project managers, and line of business leaders

• Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.

• Understanding of the value proposition of the public cloud
