IDS International is seeking an Instructional System Designer to support the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) task orders. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the analysis, design and development of training courseware for the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) program

  • Provide quality control over the full spectrum of developed curriculum for multiple subjects and tasks

  • Advise the Senior SME / Program Manager on analysis, design and development aspects of the SAT process 

  • Develop the latest professional training and course materials consistent with the most recent United Nations (UN) techniques and procedures, while using established SAT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Courseware Development Guides (CDGs)

  • Establish and manage SAT curriculum development short-term and long-term development plans

  • Coordinate all analysis, design and development efforts with the Senior SME / Project Manager, the Senior Instructional System Designer (ISD) and relevant Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) 

  • Ensure that all training courseware development is of the highest possible quality consistent with time available and resources

  • Provide constant, consistent feedback on developed curriculum and develop corrective measures and strategy modifications, as necessary.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Formal training and certification in the System Approach to Training (ADDIE Model)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a position as a SAT Analyst / Design Specialist or equivalent experience in a training command such as the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), the United States Army Infantry School (USAIS), the U.S. Marine Corps School of Infantry (SOI)

  • Able to work remotely with occasional travel to Apex, NC for team meetings and workshops

  • High degree of computer proficiency, with emphasis on MS Office suite and MS Project

  • Experience as a trainer or teacher of adult education

  • Proven management capability that ensures the team remains on task while meeting deliverables

    Preferred Qualifications

  • US military rank of Senior Non-commissioned Officer, Warrant Officer or O-3/O-4

  • Experience working with foreign militaries (sub-Saharan African nations a plus)

  • Graduate Degree
