To perform journeyman level skills in the installation, maintenance, remodeling, repair and servicing of plumbing system, and utilities in a mechanisms utility distribution center. Responsible for me prompt performance of assignment plumbing and related duties and mechanism maintenance and repair of utility mains..Install, repair and maintain water, air, gas and sewer lines and systems.Install plumbing pipes, traps, washbowls, fittings, drains, special laboratory sinks, drain tables and experimental tables.Repair, replace and maintain valves, faucets, water heaters, traps, sinks, washbowls, sewers, vents and toilet fixtures.Cut and thread pipe and wipe lead joints.Connect and maintain hot water units, gas heaters and furnaces and check for safety. Unstop clogged lines.Maintain radiators, radiator traps, and thermostatic line traps.Perform acetylene and electric welding for construction and maintenance of pipelines.Assist with simple estimates of time and materials required for a job.Drive a UTA owned vehicle.Performs other duties as assigned..High School diploma.Three (3) years experience.Three (3) years of skilled/journeyman level plumbing experience..Valid Texas Operator's License required.Accuracy in phases of work performed.
