The Inflight Crew Scheduler position presents an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role within United’s fast-paced operation. You will work closely supporting our flight attendants with their schedules, ensuring on-time flight departures throughout United’s worldwide network. This position comes with the potential for further career development and an interesting and satisfying professional challenge.

This exciting opportunity is in-person based in our Network Operations Center in Arlington Heights, IL.

The Inflight Scheduler position requires a flexible approach to working hours, encompassing different shifts throughout the day and night. Shifts cover a 24/7/365 global airline operation and may involve working on weekends and holidays. Consistent and punctual attendance is paramount to the success of this position.

At United, we are dedicated to providing you with comprehensive onboarding and training to ensure your success as an Inflight Crew Scheduler. Training consists of two essential components:

Classroom Training:

During this phase, you will delve into various computer programs utilized at United that are integral at our scheduling operations. Additionally, you will gain proficiency in Federal Aviation Administration regulations, flight attendant contract, and policies. This foundational training will equip you with the knowledge necessary to excel in your role.

On-the-Job Training:

Following classroom training, you will embark on an on-the-job training program. Working alongside experienced Inflight Crew Schedulers, you will apply the skills and knowledge acquired in the classroom to real-world scenarios. This hands-on experience will enable you to hone your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, fostering a deeper understanding of the role's responsibilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

Inflight Crew Schedulers ensure that all flights in our reliable Worldwide network are accurately staffed with Inflight crew in support of Core4 as it relates to United’s goal of providing safe, efficient, and reliable air transportation for our customers. As an Inflight Crew Scheduler your roles and responsibilities are:

· Assign all open flying to qualified Inflight crew members according to Federal Aviation Regulations, flight attendant Contract, and Company policies

· You must be willing to work anytime within a 24/7, 365-day-a-year schedule, including weekends and holidays

· 24-hour communications center/point of contact for flight attendant workgroup, providing round-the-clock support to Inflight crew members with regards to schedule and flight-related issues, delay notifications, assignment modifications, etc.

· Responsible to supervise crew legalities, communicate changes, reassign flight attendants and perform CMS transactions to ensure accurate crew pay and quality assurance
