JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of janitorial, maintenance and cleaning activities to meet the established standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the Production Manufacturing Center, Distribution, and grounds.

Under the direction of the Department Supervisor, is responsible for maintaining and ensuring that all day to day maintenance schedules are being completed on a timely basis. Understands and make certain that all quality, sanitation and safety procedures are adhered to. Operates all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Recommend equipment revisions. Performs other job functions as required.

COMPENSATION

The expected compensation range for this position is: $17/hr-$18/hr

Responsibilities

General Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs a variety of janitorial duties and tasks to maintain distribution center buildings and grounds and to meet QCD and AIB standards for appearance, cleanliness, and safety. (75%)

  • Monitors and maintains forklift/pallet jack batteries to ensure readiness and smooth operations. (10%)

  • Identifies air conditioning repair needs to ensure a safe and comfortable working environment. (5%)

  • Distributes office supplies to ensure smooth operations. (5%)

  • Performs minor repairs to maintain working condition of racking, doors, and dock levelers, trailers, magliners, etc. (5%)

  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary

Qualifications

Qualifications Required of this Position:

Basic understanding of AIB or Silliker standards preferred. Strong knowledge of sanitation and janitorial concepts and techniques. Understanding of Battery changing and charging procedures and air conditioning equipment. Licensed fork lift operator with a minimum of six months of safe operation of material handling equipment. High school diploma or equivalency. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
