Dispel Quality Assurance Manager in Arizona

This is a full-time position that must be conducted on US soil.

Our team is looking for a Quality Assurance professional to lead our QA program. Applicants should have 5 to 8 years of experience in quality assurance or a closely related field. Applicants must have extensive experience upholding product quality, meeting deadlines, motivating people, reporting to executive leadership, and navigating complex challenges.

Dispel makes the networks and associated interfaces by, with, and through which industrial equipment is monitored, adjusted, and controlled. If you love big machines, consider applying.

In this role, you will not only spearhead our engineering team's QA processes—from devising and enforcing testing strategies to overseeing test execution and monitoring results—but also actively engage in hands-on testing.

Location

Fully remote. We have a strong appreciation for the benefits of leaders living close enough to the teams they manage that a huddle over coffee is achievable by car. So, while this position is 100% remote for true wizards of their trade, we will prefer candidates based in the physical region the job is posted in.

Salary

$78,000 - $91,000.

*Salary is dependent on the location you reside in.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years of experience in quality assurance.

  • The ability to present articulate, concise, stories about leading quality-focused initiatives and directly engaging in testing activities.

  • A firsthand understanding of Agile development.

  • Expertise creating test cases from product specifications, executing these tests, and managing the overall testing lifecycle.

  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to foster a collaborative, efficient work environment that relentlessly keeps the customer top of mind.

  • References from multiple former subordinates and at least one supervisor.

  • A track record of leading by example, and a demonstrated understanding of excellence in their field.

Extra Credit

  • Certifications such as ISTQB Certified Tester, Certified Software Quality Engineer (CSQE), Certified Software Tester (CSTE), or similar.

  • Experience with quality management software, such as JIRA, Selenium, or TestRail.

  • Certifications in using JIRA (ACP 120, 420, and 620).

  • Experience with specific technologies and product types, such as SaaS platforms, API development and testing, and networking-intensive solutions.

  • Have, or be willing to obtain, a security clearance.
