Human Resources Manager

This Human Resources Manager is responsible for providing Human Resources support for a regional group of automotive stores and leadership team. Scope will include performance management, employee relations, talent development, recruitment and retention strategies, policy and procedure support, and strategic human resources planning.

The Human Resources Manager reports to the Director, HR Business Partner and will support our Southwest dealer group leadership team.

Location: Southern California, Arizona or Texas

Compensation Range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Conducts organizational root cause analysis and partners with the COEs in the formation and rollout of HR initiatives for the site.

  • Work collaboratively with Operations leadership and the COE on employee relations' issues, corrective action performance management, and terminations; act as an employee advocate when appropriate to meet company goals and objectives.

  • Provide leadership and support to managers and employees on policy interpretation and other employee matters, including, but not limited to: Performance Management, Internal Administrative Investigations, Coaching and Training.

  • Assist with employee development by facilitating management and leadership development, participating in writing Individual Development Plans (IDPs), and interviewing internal and external management candidates.

  • Develop, organize, and implement recruiting strategies across stores & departments.

  • Assist with candidate interviews and new hire onboarding.

  • Review and apply all federal, state, and local laws in conjunction with Lithia policies and procedures, monitor HR metrics

  • Participate in and/or manage various projects as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ years of current Human Resources experience.

  • Must have been previously a HR Business Partner or have experience in multiple HR functions.

  • Decision making skills at a management level.

  • Strong problem-solving and influencing skills, a hands-on approach in working with line management, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Bachelor's degree in a related field required.

  • Travel within the region is required.
