Summary

Manage all manufacturing activities of assigned areas, shifts, processes and products. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including those related to EHS and ISO/Quality.

Essential Functions:

· In charge of all manufacturing activities, ensuring compliance will company policies and procedures.

· Supervise departmental employees and assigned contractors.

· Implements actions within the guidelines of the Annual Operating Plan and the Balanced Scorecard objectives to recommend and establish production and quality standards, develop budget and cost controls for Production area and other areas under his responsibility.

· Plans and directs activities required and establishes production priorities for the production of correspondent components and other production areas assigned.

· Ensure that the components produced within areas of responsibility comply with required quality standards and parameters.

· Maintains close communications with other departments to ensure effective implementation of new products, engineering changes, quality issues resolution, among others.

· Facilitates and coaches supervision and employees in relation to the use of Lean processes/concepts.

· Coordinates production activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.

· Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications, and operating or production problems.

· Revises production schedules and priorities and takes appropriate corrective as result of equipment failure or operating problems.

· Ensures that disciplinary actions including those related to absenteeism, safety, quality and others are consistently initiated by supervision within the employee handbook guidelines and the legal framework applicable.

· Establishes or follows up plans to ensure consistent conduction of 5S audits and corrective actions, safety audits and other practices.

· Monitor and comply with assigned metrics.

· Manage assigned capital projects and other initiatives, as required.

· Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

· Maintain the work area clean and organized.

· Support lean initiatives (5s, RIE’s, SQDIP, MDI, 9 step).

· Comply with company policies and procedures, including EHS and ISO requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Engineering.

  2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing management in an electromechanical environment.

  3. Master degree, preferably

  4. Computer knowledge (MS Office).

  5. Leadership skills.

  6. Excellent interpersonal skills

  7. Negotiation and presentation skills.

  8. Customer service oriented.

  9. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish

  10. Knowledge in local and federal labor laws and regulations, including OSHA.

  11. Knowledgeable of ISO and lean manufacturing.

  12. Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish)
