Job Overview

Responsible for improving the effectiveness of the Quality Management System while providing customer support. Ensure that the voice of the customer is understood and systems are in place to control manufacturing processes within a lean environment that will improve customer satisfaction while minimizing non-value added activity also co-ordinate with internal/external suppliers to meet delivery targets with adherence to quality standards.

A Day In The Life

  • All new NPD inspection plans creating and any tool/gage required

  • Complete 8D analysis on complex issues and process

  • Conduct SPC studies on internal processes as well at suppliers

  • Train quality personnel

  • Develop capability program on new and existing equipment/process

  • Assess the risk of a process using FMEA methodology

  • Revise QMS documents as needed to reflect process improvements

  • Improve supplier partnerships, issue and control closures of SCARS as required, and conduct onsite Audits

  • Implement and maintain Process Certifications.

  • Lead and support MRB activities

  • Interpret technical specifications and communicate requirements for shop floor use

  • Lead and mentor local quality Auditors as needed to improve QMS effectiveness.

  • Respond to customer CAR requests with appropriate and effective process improvements.

  • Support Company-wide Lean initiatives.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor degree or higher

  • Ability to write clear work instructions and supporting QMS documents

  • Must be able to interpret blueprints, engineering sketches, and technical documents to determine appropriate measurement methods.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft WORD and EXCEL

  • Clear communication (oral and written) skills

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement practices, methodologies and tools.

  • Broad experience on managing supply chain from Quality Role
