Eaton Corporation Assembler- Weekend Shift (LVA) in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Assembler- Weekend Shift (LVA) for the Low Voltage Assembly department.

Shift Hours: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm Friday - Sunday.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour.

What you’ll do:

The primary function of the job is to perform winding, assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and to produce complete sub-assemblies, and final assembly of control equipment. Checks electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies.

In this function you will:

  • Work from drawings, engineering specifications, and manufacturing information to complete assembly and wiring of control equipment.

  • Determine necessary parts and material, and prepares requisition to obtain parts and material from stock.

  • Prepare wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.

  • Route out, assembles, wires, adjusts, fits and modifies parts, components, and sub-assemblies to form completed control assembly.

  • Check electrical / mechanical performance of completed assemblies to ensure conformance to Asheville Plant quality standards, and makes necessary adjustments and alignment when required.

  • Execute engineering and customer changes and makes repairs as required.

  • Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to coach.

  • Maintain records as required.

  • Observe all safety and hygiene rules and regulations.

  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly manner.

  • Operate power tools, including battery powered and compressed air.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship

• Must live within a 50 mile radius of Arden, NC, or be Active Duty military (if outside the 50 mile radius)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical/Electrical background

Position Criteria:

• Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead

• Able to read blue prints and wiring diagrams

• Proven history of safe work habits

• Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision

• Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.

• Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends
