We are committed to serving our communities with equity and inclusivity. The Vice President of Finance reports to the President and CEO and is an integral member of the enterprise leadership team. The VP of Finance leads a respected and high performing finance team and enjoys the active support and engagement from the Trellis audit and finance committee and board of directors. The VP joins a team committed to collaboration, transparency, equity, innovation and inclusivity. The position provides strategic financial and accounting guidance for organizational growth in core nonprofit services and programs as well as new partnerships and ventures. Full time / hybrid. Position scope: Plans and implements systems that perform the work and fulfill the mission and goals of the department efficiently and effectively. Provides overall leadership and day-to-day management of finance, accounting, tax, audit, risk management, purchasing, budgeting, financial reporting and analysis, investment analysis and management. Conducts financial and business analyses of potential new ventures. Develops funding models and implementation plans. Develops analytic tools and reports to ensure the organization's goals are met and that new initiatives are properly funded. Manages all financial activities including cash flow management, investment management, analysis of capital projects, asset sales, and the safeguarding of all assets. Drives employee engagement and organizational performance by improving employee line of sight to strategic goals. Integrates organizational models and tools in individual and team performance goals and work plans. Effectively leads the finance team. Participates in strategic planning for the organization and its subsidiaries. Collaborates with the leadership team to formulate strategies and plans for current and future business. Establishes and maintains constructive and effective relationships with auditors, bankers, investment counselors, insurance vendors, attorneys and other professional advisors. Builds strategic working relationships with local, state and federal entities and with businesses and nonprofit organizations, which will strengthen and promote the Trellis brand. Position requirements: Bachelor's degree in business or related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred. Minimum 10 years departmental and organizational management. Active participation in building and executing a strategic plan. Experience and knowledge of complex finance and account procedures and systems. Experience in a regulated industry with funding streams greater than $10M. Knowledge of federal Uniform Guidance and other federal and state regulations relating to programs. Experience in a healthcare or other nonprofit setting. Proven ability managing a growth-oriented business with experience raising capital. Knowledge of business marketplace principles. Results-oriented, decisive, and analytical with ability to assess risks and opportunities quickly, create a plan and pivot when needed. Entrepreneurial and growth mentality.
