Bil-Jax, Inc. Assembly Worker in Archbold, Ohio

3rd Shift, M-F, 10:30p-7a $19.50/hr (the hourly wage mentioned includes a Perfect Attendance Bonus in the total). Immediate Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance your first day of employment. Position Summary:

Assembly of aerial work platforms (telescopic booms, scissor lifts, and the many sub-assemblies that go into building them) used in the equipment rental, building and construction industries.

Major Functions:

  • Handling, positioning, and placing components or sub-assemblies according to safety rules and available means (crane, slings, hand and power tools, etc.)
  • Assembling components according to assembly processes
  • Performing visual assessments of work (compliance of the various assemblies, components, labeling, designs, etc.)
  • Verifying the assembly/disassembly (appearance, parallelism, play, retention, operation, etc.) and correcting minor deviations (cleaning threads, cleaning bores)
  • Maintaining production tools in good condition (wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers, etc.)
  • Communicating regularly and effectively with his/her manager, supervisor, and/or team leader
  • May assist with the training of new employees
  • Will be proactive in reducing the impact of or resolving problems
  • Other related duties as assigned

Experience and Education:

  • Previous assembly/manufacturing and employment longevity preferred
  • Able to work closely with team members in an assembly line/work cell environment and also independently
  • Must be able to learn all positions within the work cell
  • Must be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and good attendance
  • Must have your own reliable transportation
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. consistently without any restrictions
  • 2 years experience preferred
  • Longevity of at least 1 to 2 years with previous employer
  • Forklift experience preferred
