ASR Group/Domino Sugar Sanitation Coordinator in Arabi, Louisiana

OVERVIEW

This position will directly coordinate sanitation operations including training union personnel on rotating shifts.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs cleaning task as needed to train new sanitation personnel.

  • Performs cleaning task inspections for compliance. Inspects cleaning equipment for effectiveness.

  • Trouble-shoots equipment obstacles and makes necessary recommendations to support task.

  • Verify cleaning chemicals and equipment used are “fit for purpose”.

  • Participates / executes Monthly Cleaning Sanitation, Monthly Department Cleaning schedule task completion, and job site safety compliance audits

  • Participates & facilitates stand-down business unit meetings.

  • Draft weekly labor schedules for supervision approval. Ensure work schedules are correctly implemented and jobs are assigned effectively and completed properly.

  • Drives continuous improvement through team engagement.

  • Produce and analyze reports related to business unit expectations. Recommends and submits visual & sanitation working procedures.

  • Submits work order notifications through SAP Blu-Boot. Orders sanitation cleaning equipment through SAP or requisition submittal.

  • Utilizes & validates Red Zone paper-less compliance utilization.

  • Attends weekly M & R planning meeting in order to verify sanitation work order notifications are scheduled based on priority.

  • Back-up to manager to update KRONOS for accuracy.

  • Back-up to Manager to help coordinate daily, weekly, monthly cleaning tasks. Assigns duties and ensures conformance to policies and procedures.

    REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two years of cleaning / sanitation experience.

  • Experience in a union environment.

  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.

  • Ability to establish priorities and multi-task.

  • Mechanically proficient.

  • Experience with personal computers.

  • Familiar with cleaning chemicals

  • Familiar with MSDS supplier cleaning chemical precautions

  • High school degree or equivalent degree

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification or obtain Green Belt Certification within two years from start of role.

  • Wonderware, SAP, Outlook, MS Office, Excel, Word

  • Experience with Powered Industrial Equipment

    WORK SCHEDULE

  • Day Shift, with ability to rotate on other shifts when needed to support executing proper health and sanitary practices.

  • Must be able to work weekends and/or holidays as needed to direct critical job completion.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Back up to manager for vacation and other absences or on occasional off shifts, weekends or holidays
