JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office Direct patients to the appropriate treatment room Answer, screen and schedule appointments Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures) Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges) Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock Keep updated records of patients information and collecting payment Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing Operate telephone switchboard to answer, screen, or forward calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments. Greet persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations. File and maintain records. Perform duties, such as taking care of plants or straightening magazines to maintain lobby or reception area. Receive payment and record receipts for services.
