Description

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Play and disseminate programs and promotions across all brand platforms (audio/digital/video) as directed by Brand Manager.

  • Adhere to FCC standards.

  • Actively participate in the Great Game of Business philosophies to ensure the success of the broadcast division.

  • Maintain a “customer comes first” environment with pro-active commitment to internal and external customer service.

  • Participate in community oriented non-profit events as assigned.

    Specific Responsibilities:

  • Effectively prepare for all brand platforms that include resources like the internet, books, magazines, etc. that provide information pertinent to the lifestyle of the target demographic, and provides a better insight to the needs of the market.

  • Use concise, positive communication skills and methods to engage with the audience at all times.

  • Perform an agreed upon amount of weekly digital media engagement opportunities put forth by the Brand Manager and Digital Director.

  • Add authentic content to the station website by writing articles and/or creating audio/video content that can be recycled through all platforms.

  • Timely completion of assigned production to a degree of quality that meets the format image and standard set by Brand Manager.

  • Available as an additional resource for development and execution of promotional activities as needed.

  • Effectively use the automation system (add commercials, music and other elements) as needed.

  • Properly complete transmitter and program logs according to FCC and radio station policies and standards.

  • Maintain security of buildings during non-business hours by not letting unknown people into the building and reporting anything suspicious you may see after hours in the parking lot.

  • Submit talent sheets in a timely manner and accurately record hours worked.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Displays a high degree of integrity and loyalty to WRG brands and division. Maintains proper appearance and hygiene. Maintain a valid driver’s license and adequate automobile insurance.

Skills:Strong, concise communication skills. Good voice quality and delivery (including proper diction). Good reading and writing ability. Good hand/eye coordination for effective operation of the broadcast equipment. Ability to organize. Ability to follow instructions.

Knowledge:High school education with specialized courses. Commercial, college or broadcast school experience and degree helpful (but not necessary). Appreciation and knowledge of format's content and lifestyle. Thorough understanding of digital and social media platforms, including ‘best practices’ and analytics.
