Activities Director Job Summary:

The successful performance of the Activities Director position requires meeting high standards in the areas of organizing and coordinating the functions of the activities department, complying with state and federal regulations, training and monitoring success of volunteers, and performing administrative functions within the facility.  The incumbent will work to create an environment that  meets the needs, wants and interests of residents, promoting all areas of group and 1-1 programming, as well as promoting desirable interaction.

Job Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in a health/human services related field preferred

  • Experience working with older adults

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to respect confidentiality of resident information

  • Desire to work with the older adults in an assisted living setting

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once

  • Must be eligible to work in the Federal Health Program
