JAE Tech Machine Operator I – All Shifts Available - JAE Tech in Apple Creek, Ohio

Summary: Operates machine tools such as CNC lathes, spline rollers, grinders, and induction heat treating equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Understand and follow work instructions
  • Inspect parts for defects
  • Load and unload parts
  • Change tools as required
  • Monitor machine operations to detect defects or machine malfunctions
  • Adjust machine as needed to maintain tolerances
  • Measure and inspect parts per work instruction
  • Data entry
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Other duties as assigned

     

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.  Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one or in small group settings.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to understand and carry out written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of manufacturing software.
