Stanley Black and Decker Engineer, Packaging Engineering in Apodaca NL, Mexico

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement packaging designs and solutions that improve production efficiency while reducing costs

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and cost savings in the packaging operations

  • Conduct packaging material testing and evaluation to ensure compliance with company and industry standards

  • Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot packaging issues and implement corrective actions

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and evaluate packaging materials and equipment

  • Develop and maintain packaging specifications and standards

  • Provide technical support to other departments on packaging-related matters

  • Develop and maintain packaging-related documentation and training materials

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies in the packaging industry

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging engineering or a related field, with a focus on productivity improvement

  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, design principles, and production processes

  • Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirements

  • Experience with packaging machinery and equipment

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ArtiosCAD, and other packaging-related software applications

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies and business requirements
