Kuehne+Nagel Sea Logistics STM Operational Care Specialist in Antwerp, Belgium

We are looking for an Operational Care Specialist to join our dynamic Sea Logistics Team.

Your Role

You are part of a team responsible for coordinating transport activities by executing the necessary bookings with our partners, executing the requisite data entry across all Kuehne+Nagel systems, and generating the required documentation, which is a major part of your role. You coordinate the transport and take care of the administration, ensuring that all documents and formalities are fulfilled. You are liaising with our Customer Care team to ensure all requirements are met in compliance with rules and regulations governing sea transport and associated national protocols. You support customers by providing helpful information and addressing inquiries. Lastly, you build and maintain a strong partnership with key carriers and vendors.

Your Responsibilities

  • Confirm bookings with customers and carriers.

  • Complete shipment details in our internal data management system.

  • Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of all shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.

  • File and manage documents in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure all shipping documentation complies with local, international, and port-specific regulations.

  • Govern and coordinate documentation processes to support the OCC team in Kuehne+Nagel GS.

  • Optimize the operational and administrative processes for more efficiency within your department.

  • Collaborate with other internal teams to ensure a smooth operations and documentation workflow.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Logistics/Supply Chain Management.

  • Previous experience in sea logistics/customer service is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge in freight forwarding.

  • Advanced familiarity with industry-specific guidelines and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.

  • Analytical mindset, adept at multitasking, and strong organizational skills.

  • Language proficiency: Fluency in English is essential, while proficiency in Dutch would be beneficial.
