JBT Machining is an advanced manufacturing company that specializes in computer numerical controlled (CNC) turning, vertical, horizontal, and 5 axis milling for short run prototyping and large quality production runs. JBT is proud to be part of Steel Technologies and we continue to be the go-to source for customers in many industries including semiconductor, medical, package handling, pharmaceutical, industrial automation, agriculture, and many more. We are looking for a self-starter that is well versed in a variety of materials and applications, a master at troubleshooting, able to control the manufacturing process and ensure safety is always job #1! DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1) Check with designated lead person on machine assignment and job assignment. 2) Produce parts on CNC machines according to specifications and within acceptable production requirements. 3) Unload and package parts according to JBT Machining standards and customer requirements. 4) Complete accurate daily records (date, times, quantities of parts run, and scrap) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system. 5) Follow instructions from all JBT Machining documentation, including Shop Traveler, Inspection Sheets, and blueprints. 6) Inform quality control, shift supervisor/ lead person of any problems or concerns with parts. 7) Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and perform all required inspections. 8) Perform required preventive maintenance on equipment, watch and listen for abnormal conditions, and report any concerns to maintenance and/or shift supervisor/lead immediately. 9) Maintain assigned work area in a clean and orderly manner and comply with all 5S procedures. 10) Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all JBT Machining Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. 11) Maintain all required documentation. 12) Perform other duties as assigned.
