Position summary: The Manufacturing Engineer I will support Manufacturing operations to ensure efficient production, optimize processes, and meet production goals. 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:30pm Responsibilities Manufacturing Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve procedures, tools, and programs for existing products.
  • Coordinate estimating and quoting efforts.
  • Monitor equipment performance and correct issues affecting product quality.
  • Interface with Quality to integrate new products/processes.
  • Determine project scope, define requirements, and coordinate production.
  • Identify and resolve manufacturing process/product nonconformities.
  • Initiate technical activities for new/improved products or processes.
  • Analyze and solve problems using engineering principles.
  • Develop and implement process and product improvements.
  • Maintain device routers and bill of materials.
  • Develop manufacturing processes using statistical process control.
  • Maintain and approve manufacturing procedures.
  • Design and coordinate fabrication of process fixturing.
  • Resolve non-conformances and participate in Material Review Board.
  • Analyze and map processes, assess efficiency, and implement project activities.
  • Assist with part cost estimation.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and support the company's Quality System.
  • Partner with other business segments.
  • Maintain an organized work area and participate in Operational Excellence Program.
  • Complete assigned work duties and work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or other Engineering Science.
  • Basic understanding of 3D CAD software. (i.e. ProE, Unigraphics, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and prioritize tasks.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of ISO 9000, statistical process control, machining practices, properties of materials, and the application of mathematics and dimensions to production machinery and tooling, modern fabrication and assembly techniques, and machine shop practices a plus.
  • Must be able to identify root cause and develop appropriate corrective actions.
  • Efficiently integrate existing methods with new innovations, and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Experience with Pro-Engineering, Solidworks, or Auto CAD software.
