Job Description

Vista Outdoor, located in Anoka, Minnesota is seeking an Analyst, Corporate Development to join its high-energy Corporate Development Group for its Revelyst business. This highly visible role will be responsible for evaluating potential mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic alliances and other impactful strategic initiatives. In addition, the person in this position will actively perform due diligence and target research, assist in the sourcing of new acquisition opportunities and investor relations activities. This position is part of a small, active team that helps guide many of the company’s most significant strategic decisions.

This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Development and is based out of our Anoka, MN offices.

As the Analyst, Corporate Development, you will have an opportunity to:

  • Provide analytical support for transactions, including mergers, acquisitions and divestitures

  • Develop, build and nurture effective relationships with potential acquisition and partnership targets

  • Perform valuation analysis

  • Build financial models and perform business and financial analyses of various aspects of acquisition targets’ financials, sales and operations

  • Coordinate outside professional advisors’ and internal advisors’ due diligence activities in support of M&A transactions

  • Prepare reports and presentations in support of M&A transactions

  • Perform industry, competitive and market analysis in support of inorganic/organic opportunities

  • Independently develop analysis and research that can be utilized to drive better and faster decision making

  • Support quarterly earnings process by preparing earnings conference call scripts, press releases, investor presentation, Q&A documents and other supporting materials

  • Understand the competitive landscape by monitoring conference calls and earnings releases for comparable companies

You have:

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field

  • 1-3 years in corporate development, private equity, transaction advisory services, investment banking or management consulting

  • Demonstrated experience in financial due diligence

  • Demonstrated experience in developing models for valuation purposes – must be able to pass a financial modeling and valuation exam administered by Vista Outdoor

  • Demonstrated ability to creatively problem solve while under high pressure and deal with ambiguity

  • Skill/strength with numbers must be equal to communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Capital IQ platform

  • Must have the ability to organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects and function effectively as a team member
