DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Installation Police Officer, you will provide police services and protection to employees, the public, property, facilities, and grounds of Fort Indiantown Gap. You will be responsible for patrolling buildings and grounds by foot or vehicle; controlling access to the fort at an access control point (including specific facilities and restricted areas); and responding to routine and emergency calls involving public assistance, fire, vehicle accidents or other types of emergencies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 40 hours per week

Work hours are rotating schedules and days off. Shifts will be 12 hours per day, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Successful completion of the Municipal Police Officers' Education and Training Commission Certified Basic Police Academy (Act 120) training. Special Requirement: You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania noncommercial Class C driver's license or equivalent. Other Requirements: You must pass a favorable National Crime Information Center (NCIC) screening for admittance to Fort Indiantown Gap, and you must maintain an Automated Installation Entry (AIE) card once it is issued. Legal Requirements:

You must pass a background investigation. A conditional offer of employment will require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
