Warehouse Data Entry Clerk

This position operates keyboard-controlled data entry devices to perform physical counts of inventory into a format suitable for computer processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receives, distributes, checks and controls inventory.

  • Processes inbound shipments and check for accuracy and damage.

  • Facilitate the return of any damaged products.

  • Keep accurate records of all shipments received.

  • Store away inventory in designated areas.

  • Enter and monitor purchase orders and invoices and verify for accuracy.

  • Coordinate the receiving and accounting inventory for the products.

  • Keep warehouse organized, functional and clean at all times.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED

  • Requires 1-2 years’ experience in an office environment or equivalent training.

  • Working knowledge of basic computer application programs to include Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Outlook are required.

  • Ability to operate an alphanumeric keyboard and have an understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Environment:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.

  • Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.

  • Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain base clearance after hire.

  • Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending, reaching, and lifting.

  • Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
