The ARINC GLOBAL Network (AGN) system is comprised of several private data centers and connects to the far reaches of the globe, in almost every country providing aviation, airport, government, and transportation connectivity. AGN provides private networking in a highly reliable, secure and available world-wide network architecture for Collins Aerospace IMS mission critical aviation, transportation, and airports customers.
The successful candidate will serve as a member of the AGN Network Engineering team responsible for and engaging in the design, development, testing and evaluation of network security and communication technologies products and solutions in support of the ARINC Global Network. Candidate must be familiar with cybersecurity/security methodologies and concepts and technologies as they apply to network and cloud infrastructures. The candidate will be responsible for collaborating with Corporate Security Teams for the planning, development, implementation and management of the overall AGN system security strategy. Candidate must be highly motivated, able to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.

What YOU will do:
You will serve as a technical member on projects that contain moderate to highly complex environments, utilizing high availability concepts.
You will develop and implement project plans within budgetary, schedule and resource constraints.
You will collaborate with other members of the Engineering team in the development of technical design solutions.
You will capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for infrastructure security systems, products and subsystems of moderate complexity.
You will use an interdisciplinary approach, focusing on customer needs and business requirements, to design, develop, document, test and maintain network security systems ranging from the straightforward to moderately complex.
You will author, review and maintain documentation during all phases of the system design life cycle as appropriate and specified within documented process and procedure (Project Plans, Estimates, Requirements Documentation, Operational Scenarios, Design Documentation and Drawings, Sys Acceptance Test Plans, etc…).
You will conduct threat and vulnerability analysis, risk mitigation, information assurance, penetration testing.
You will apply Security/Cybersecurity methodologies to network and systems design to provide secure services that support business requirements and ensure information security.
You will configure and install various network security devices and services (e.g., stateful firewalls, web application firewalls (WAFs), SIEM, AA, IDS/IPS, DDoS, Anti-Malware/Anti-Virus Protection).
You will provide post-fielding support, resolving operational issues involving L2 and L3, in a multi-routing network infrastructure
Education & Experience:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
Qualifications you must have:
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.
Proven experience with clearly depict and convey understanding of technical design using a wide range of design notations and artifacts, as applicable to the audience.
Demonstrated Cisco experience along with related experience in infrastructure/Networked environments with hardware (routers, switches, firewall, etc), designing, planning and implementing LAN-WANs using the industry standard technologies
Demonstrated experience in IP Networks, security and network management concepts.
Experience with Linux-based servers
Demonstrated experience with security frameworks (e.g. NIST 800-171, NIST800 53b, SOC 2, ISO27001
Skills we value:
Active CCNA or CCNP Sec certification, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst+, CISSP, CEH
Experience with Cybersecurity assessments, mitigating controls, and vulnerability management to focus on IT/OT to drive the execution of project-based design/build efforts
Working knowledge of automation and configuration management leveraging tools such as Ansible.
experience of employing a broad spectrum of network and infrastructure security technologies.

The salary range for this role is 85,000 USD - 179,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
