Robert Half Billing Clerk in Annapolis, Maryland

Description We are seeking a Billing Clerk to join our team in ANNAPOLIS, Maryland, United States. This role is essential within our organization as it involves processing and maintaining accurate billing records and dealing with related inquiries. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work onsite with the flexibility of remote work for 1-2 days depending on individual circumstances. This opening offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Generate and process billing invoices in an accurate and timely manner

• Review billing data for accuracy and completeness, identifying and resolving any discrepancies

• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments

• Work closely with internal teams to ensure billing procedures align with company policies and objectives

• Maintain organized billing records and documentation for audit purposes

• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting as needed

• Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to billing and invoicing

• Perform other duties as requested by the Controller

• Utilize Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various financial duties

• Leverage experience with HUD software in billing processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required

• Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks is essential

• Must have prior experience in Billing

• Familiarity with HUD is needed

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is paramount

• Ability to multitask and prioritize workloads in a timely manner

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High school diploma or equivalent required, higher education or certifications in related field are a plus

• Must adhere to strict confidentiality and data privacy standards

• Experience in a similar role or industry is highly desirable.
