Jacobs Linux System Administrator - TS/SCI w/Poly in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Your Impact:

Jacobs is hiring a Linux System Administrator to support a program in Annapolis Junction, MD. This program will enable the Government to obtain subject matter expertise and highly technical assistance in building and maintaining prototype and niche analytics and tools; this contract will also enable the Government to maintain and document these prototypes and niche developmental efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain customer networks including infrastructure.

  • Work as part of an engineering team comprised of approximately 10 personnel, each with specific tasking.

Here’s what you’ll need :

  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field plus 4-years of relevant experience, Master's degree plus 2-years of relevant experience, Associate's degree plus 6-years of relevant experience or High School diploma/GED plus 8-years of relevant experience.

  • Relevant experience must be in the installation or maintenance of network or telecommunications equipment and/or using specialized test equipment and network analysis tools (e.g., network management software, data analyzers, BERTS and OTDR).

Preferred:

  • Linux system administration.

  • Patching, scanning for security vulnerabilities.

  • ATO renewals.

  • POAMs.

  • Stand up machines for specific uses, tear down when complete.

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and A certificates are preferred.
