Responsibilities*

The position entails conducting both in vitro and in vivo biomedical research, including working with cell culture models of cancer and analysis of human tissue samples. The work entails the use of molecular biological assays and techniques to study the mechanisms involved in cancer initiation, progression, metastasis, and response to treatment. The cell culture models require the use of plasmid and viral vectors, administration of various therapeutic drugs, and analysis of cellular and molecular changes. The human tissue samples require the extraction of DNA, RNA, and/or protein and analysis of cellular and molecular characteristics, including preparation of next-generation sequencing libraries.

Required Qualifications*

High school diploma or Associate's degree and at least 1 year of experience with cell culture and animal model research.

Desired Qualifications*

Bachelor's degree in a biologically relevant area.

Background Screening
