Overview

ABM Industries is seeking a dynamic and experienced Custodial Assistant Account Manager to lead our team of janitorial staff. The Custodial Assistant Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the janitorial team, ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of janitorial procedures and best practices.

Schedule: Monday - Friday with some weekends, flexible schedule with 2 nights that you will work until 10pm.

Pay: $55K

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of janitorial staff, including assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and training as needed.

  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that all areas of the facility are cleaned and maintained according to client specifications and industry standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to assess cleanliness, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations.

  • Order and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that adequate resources are available to complete all cleaning tasks.

  • Respond to client requests and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, addressing any concerns or issues related to janitorial services.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports, including work orders, inspection logs, and employee schedules.

  • Enforce company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and quality control measures, to promote a safe and productive work environment.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture, motivating and empowering janitorial staff to achieve their full potential and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in janitorial services or related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in janitorial or custodial supervision, with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with employees, clients, and management.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to janitorial work, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software for recordkeeping and reporting purposes.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
