Manatt's Inc Belly Dump Drivers in Ankeny, Iowa

The success Manatts, Inc., enjoys today in the construction industry started 75 years ago. Back then, it was one man, one truck, and now our team of employees numbers more than 750 strong. We have dozens of ready-mix and asphalt production facilities around the state of Iowa. Our massive fleet of dump and ready-mix trucks serves thousands of job sites every year. In addition, our concrete and asphalt paving divisions, along with our various other crews, complete hundreds of projects every season.

Our Metro Paving Division has immediate openings for Belly Dump Truck Drivers.

Responsibilities

Drive a belly dump truck to destination applying commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle in difficult situations.

  • Secure loads safely using tarps and straps.

  • Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

  • Ability to crawl in and out of the truck to raise and drop pusher axle, oil trailer, and construction tarp.

  • Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition.

  • Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations.

  • Inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water.

  • Assist with the loading and unloading of the truck and trailer.

  • Must observe and practice safety standards and policies of the department.

  • Must have a valid Class A CDL.

  • Must meet insurability for driving requirements of the company.

  • Must have previous driving experience handling large trucks.
