Description

Robert Half is searching for Bookkeepers for local ongoing opportunities local to Angola NY. The ideal Bookkeeper possesses strong social skills and a collaborative work style. Some of your main job duties will include processing accounts payable and accounts, receivable, managing bank reconciliation and payroll processing, posting journal entries. Must have at least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper and must have experience with an accounting software in addition to Excel (ex: QuickBooks/Peachtree). • Develop a well-organized system to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures

• Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

• Balance accounts by reconciling entries

• Maintain and balance general ledger

• Maintain quality historical records by filing documents

• Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information

• Craft Accounts Receivable invoices, reviewing payments received and record deposits

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 2years experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper role or similar position

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Strong knowledge of Accounting Functions is a must

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary

• Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations is required

• Must be able to manage Billing Functions effectively

• Proficiency in QuickBooks is a significant advantage

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work is required

• Must possess excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary
