Position Summary The Fitness Trainer/Coach will be responsible for all member training, evaluation, and retention services provided at their Anytime Fitness location, which includes conducting fitness consultations, determining the right combination of personnel and tools for each member, and managing the retention score to ensure meaningful touch points for the lifetime of each member. The Fitness Trainer/Coach reports directly to the Regional Member Experience Manager. Responsibilities * Personnel Development* Assist in the training of fitness training staff, identifying under performers for development or turnover * Participate in weekly evaluation meetings for RMXM direction and short-term goal setting * Participate in monthly audits concerning the areas of customer service and administration, ensuring 100% compliance * Member Experience & Retention* Create a nurturing, supportive environment/culture; providing proper planning, encouragement, and accountability measures necessary to provide a valuable, long-term member experience * 100% compliance with the Fitness Consultation & Evaluation process; educating the membership on available service options, implementing an initial workout plan, and establishing a scheduled follow up and assessment process * Actively involved with and champion of Anytime Fitness Apps and Personal/Group Training services * Monitor member records, accounting for their health and medical history, goals, workout preferences, scheduled assessments, and progress notes * Maintain a fluid and organized schedule, allowing for efficient coverage of all member interactions * Proactively address retention barriers through non-usage calls and monthly follow-ups * Lead generation of member referrals beyond the initial sales process * Training Clientele* Compliance to Anytime Workouts, providing scientific programming for each muscle group, regardless of participants' capabilities and limitations * Coach trainers to evaluate individuals' abilities, needs, and physical conditions, and offer suitable pre-prescribed modifications to meet any special requirements * Coach trainers on providing corrective measures, coaching breathing techniques, and maintaining individuals' exertion levels to maximize benefits from exercise routines * Compliance and enforcement of safety rules and regulations governing the use of the exercise equipment * Compile and distribute industry information and resources regarding nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle issues Professional Skills * Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of stakeholders; can derive insights from others through probing questions and collaborative problem solving * Excellent organizational and project management skills, including the ability to execute multiple initiatives autonomously * Demonstrates mastery of skills in the areas of physical fitness, nutrition, and general health * Ability to effectively coach and motivate employees * Ability to write reports and business correspondence * Analyzes client behavior and abilities to introducing them to personal/group training packages * Ability to stay up to date with the latest fitness techniques and health trends * Participate in company functions, promotions, and events. Attend and participate in regional meetings * Perform administrative duties, such as following up with members, maintaining client records, and filing reports Qualifications * Education: Associates degree in a related field (e.g. business administration, exercise science) or equivalent educational level preferred. The lack of a degree may be compensated with additional experience. * Certification: Personal or Group Training certification through a nationally accredited provider with one year of experience preferred. * Experience: Two (2) or more years of sales management experience and management experience with direct reports. * Schedule: 40 hours scheduled within seven (7) consecutive days (Monday – Sunday). Working hours are scheduled according to the needs of the department and the company. Compensation * Wages: $15.00/hour payable, in semi-monthly installments. Graduated increases contingent upon regularly scheduled employment evaluations, to include potential annual increases. * Commission:  TBD, but example below.* < 75 Paid Sessions Rendered per 2 Week Period = $0.00/session * 75 – 150 Paid Sessions Rendered per 2 Week Period = $1.00/session retro back to the first session * > 150 Paid Sessions Rendered per 2 Week Period = $2.00/session retro back to the first session * Vacation/Sick pay: * 0 < 2 Year anniversary of Employment –> 4 hours PTO accrued per month * 2 < 4 Year anniversary of Employment –> 8 hours PTO accrued per month * 4 < 7 Year anniversary of Employment –> 10 hours PTO accrued per month * 7< Year anniversary of Employment –> 14 hours PTO accrued per month * Max carryover from December to January = 80 hours * Holiday pay: 8 hours will be paid for New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and one floating holiday of your choosing (Birthday, Anniversary, extra vacation day.) * Medical Insurance: Up to $250 reimbursement each month for a policy that is chosen and paid for by the employee. Contingent upon a positive review following your one-year anniversary of employment, your medical reimbursement will increase to $300 each month. * Continuing Education / Certification: Reimbursement of 50% of the cost of continuing education credits or new certifications up to $500 per year. * Other: Fun and motivating atmosphere, free membership for you and your spouse/partner.
