Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced General Support Repair Technician to support the C-40 and C-32 Support Equipment maintenance program at Andrews Air Force Base, MD.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Maintains equipment and systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components.

  • Troubleshoots problems to isolate faulty components.

  • Conducts complex functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment.

  • Performs a variety of inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents.

  • Documents maintenance and inspection actions as required.

  • Trains and resolves problems for less experienced technicians.

  • Works under general direction.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring the support equipment necessary to conducting maintenance on our aircraft remains serviceable by coordinating repair, performing maintenance, and tracking expiration.

  • Frequent use of personal protective equipment for face/eyes and occasional use of hand/arm and ear protection may be required.

  • Obtain and maintain personnel certifications as required to support job responsibilities.

  • Occasional contact with Metals, exposure to plastics and solvents and exposure to Atmospheric Conditions.

  • This position requires occasional (1-3 Hrs) Finger manipulation, Flexion/Extension, Handling, Lifting up to 35 pounds by yourself, Rotation of head/neck, Sitting, Standing, and Walking.

This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical data

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience with Field Service and/or Military Aircraft Support Equipment

  • 24/7 day operation support. The selected candidate must be able to work any hours as needed based on mission requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience maintaining support equipment for the C-40 and C-32 aircrafts.

  • Perform minor rework as required.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.)

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
