Molnlycke is now searching for a North American Transportation Manager to successfully manage the transport team, ensuring the team continuously evolves and supports company strategy. This position aims to ensure solid high-quality performance for transportation-related activities globally including KPI ownership. You’ll secure an efficient structured setup for transportation on an exception-based level supporting end-to-end supply chain activities. By managing strong relationships with key stakeholders you’ll ensure a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction regarding transportation visibility and service provided

You’ll make significant contributions in the following areas:

  • Managing team with operational activities within logistics providing excellent service thru the value chain and to end customers.

  • To lead NA transport team that is independently capable of securing solid performance and its deviations for transport related activities between factories and warehouses, replenishment and freight to customer including special services.

  • To act as escalation on transport related issues allocating needed resources, finding proper solutions and secures that transport providers lives up to contractual agreements and beyond.

  • To own KPIs and its performance regarding delivery performance, transport service complaints and departure times. Secure that corrective actions are established and executed to perfection.

  • Participating in RFQs with analysis on expected outcome of change and the actual realization of correct cost level when being rolled out.

  • To ensure efficient processes are implemented and adhered to.

  • To lead and participate in Operational/Tactical meetings with our partners and internal stakeholders.

  • To establish and continuously develop relationship with key stakeholders and ensure timely structured updates on status and progress is provided.

  • To take lead in and coordinate specific projects linked to Logistics

  • To stimulate own and teams knowledge base and improve learnings

  • To find continuous improvements through lean methodology (such as A3) that generates increased quality, decreased cost, saves time or improves service.

  • Contribute to the NA logistics team making appropriate input to understanding of current performance and the development of the future direction of the function

  • Securing that costs for each flow and transportation lane is reaching expected levels and gaps are identified and acted upon.

  • Design and realize logistics solutions together with internal and external stake holders

  • Manage and lead development tasks within logistics from set scope to finalization (ensuring quality, timeliness, costs and customer satisfaction) and ensure expected benefits will be realized beyond development task implementation duration

  • Promote continuous improvement awareness and mindset into a natural part of the daily operations for transportation and warehouse activities performed Verify receipts-Auditing delivery dates and closing loop of posting. Accounting issues-Assisting when mismatches of invoice and goods receipt

    What you’ll need:

  • Minimum bachelor's degree

  • Extensive experience managing people & leaders in a dynamic & international environment

  • Minimum 5-7 years of extensive experience working within logistics

  • Minimum 5-7 years of working with transportation or warehouse activity-related roles

  • IT knowledge:

  • SAP / ERP application

  • Microsoft Office: Outlook/Excel/Word/Teams

  • Power BI experience preferred

  • Previous experience with Transportation Management System Preferred

  • Analytical and monitoring skill set is required

  • Experience from work with continuous improvement

  • Primary assignment is a normal office environment; May occasionally be required to enter the warehouse / distribution environment.

  • Travel required in line with the support of logistics across multiple countries within defined area of responsibility
