Summary

  • Senior Accountant is responsible for all accounting related activities, including the accurate and timely distribution of financial and management reports such as monthly financial statements, project status reports, variance analysis, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of general ledger accounting, such as monthly journal entries, monthly reconciliations of subsidiary ledgers, monthly bank reconciliations, monthly accruals and reversals, fixed asset accounting, and monthly revenue recognition and analysis.

  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results.

  • Prepare financial analysis for reports and decision making.

  • Publish monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and other management reports as needed.

  • Assist with establishing and maintaining systems and internal controls which verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data.

  • Assist with company audits and preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in accounting from a four-year college or university

  • Minimum of two or more years related accounting experience and/or training; or one year of public accounting experience.

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

  • Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842 preferred.

  • Government Contracting preferred.
