ASRC Federal Plumber in Anchorage, Alaska

ASRC Federal Field Services is seeking an experienced TEMPORY Plumber to support our JBER BOMS contract at Fort Richardson, AK.

Under the direction of the Program Manager, the Plumber will provide a wide range of plumbing support services at across the entire installation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of maintenance team in support of all phases of residential and commercial plumbing.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of domestic water distribution and sanitary waste systems as well as swimming pool systems, grease traps, water-based fire suppression systems, a laundromat solids interceptor, and a sludge press.
  • Respond to facility outages as applicable and tend to mechanical components and issues.
  • On a rotational schedule basis, shall be in a recall status between 4:30 pm and 7:30 am for emergency work orders.
  • Work as a team member or independently on a variety of over and above plumbing projects.
  • Contribute to facility conditions assessments.
  • Diagnose and correct problems using knowledge, special tools and test equipment.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, installation and repair techniques.
  • After receiving training from the Government and as directed by the Lead Plumber, competently enter data into GEOBASE to input backflow preventer inspection and test results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • U.S. Drivers License
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • AK DOL Plumber Journeyman Certificate of Fitness
  • American Backflow Prevention Association (APBA) Tester Certification
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC) or Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) card to access and work on JBER
  • Have a wide breadth of plumbing knowledge and have proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing indoor and outdoor plumbing systems at large facilities.
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm onsite at JBER. This is a temp potion starting this month lasting until September.
