NANA Regional Corporation NANA SHAREHOLDER COLLEGE INTERNSHIP - NANA Regional Marketing & Communications Intern Paid Internship in Anchorage, Alaska

Job Description

The selected intern will work for NANA's Communications department, contributing to high-quality projects related to communication, shareholder communications and media relations. The internship is based in Anchorage, AK.

The NANA Shareholder College Internship is a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, and typically lasts between six to eight weeks, starting in June.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating content for social media.

  • Conduct research and write for NANA publications.

  • Update the NANA website as assigned.

  • Work under supervision to plan events.

  • Fact-checking.

  • Work under direction help maintain the digital inventory and contribute to taxonomy.

  • Learn and deploy skills related to introductory graphic design tools (Adobe Express, Premiere Rush, other Creative Cloud applications).

  • Assist with intern interviews on platforms like Adobe Audition.

Qualifications

  • Must be a NANA shareholder.

  • Must have completed one year of postsecondary education.

  • Proficient written communication skills: write, edit, proofread materials.

  • Proficient oral communications skills: speak one-on-one or present to groups.

  • Must be currently enrolled in college or a vocational school full-time.

  • Must be able to work in a fast-moving environment and juggle multiple, competing tasks, able to lift 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate is studying Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Computer Programming, Web Development or Business.

  • A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NANA’s vehicle insurance policy.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Weather: Indoors - environmentally controlled; requires most or all work to be done inside.

Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually that of a standard office atmosphere.

Description of environment: Office building with standard office environment.

Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
