The Team and Job Summary
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our Equipment Consulting team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Equipment team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional Engineers. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of Mechanical Engineering, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.
Job Responsibilities
Inspect and evaluate damages to different types of mechanical and electronic systems, such as, machinery, refrigeration systems, furnaces, conveyance systems, elevators, UPS, boilers, medical equipment, laboratory equipment, injection molding machinery, industrial plants, and a variety of other mechanical equipment.
Conduct configuration audits.
Analyze requirements and specifications to determine comparable equipment replacements.
Provide research for determining costs associated with equipment replacement (i.e., new and used).
Expected to produce 3+ page written reports regularly.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering (BSME) with over 5 years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or applications
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
A desire to learn, excel and grow with us and within the profession
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
Must be able to travel to various project sites.
Must be able to access and inspect all areas of mechanical, electrical and/or IT equipment
Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling and lifting.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
