The RV Service Technician performs maintenance, repairs, and installations on company and customer vehicles with a focus on quality, efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.

Pay:

  • Starts at $22.00-$27.00/hour (and higher, based on prior experience and skills/certifications), plus Overtime eligibility.

  • In approx 90 days receive an additional hourly raise and become bonus incentive program eligible – Up to $10k+ annually based on individual production. Requires successful completion of Alpin Haus’ Service Technician University and achieving RV Technical Institute’s ”RVTI” Level 1 Certification. Your training, certifications & development is 100% Alpin Haus paid for!

  • From there, continue to grow your earning opportunity (up to $40/hour plus Overtime eligibility and additional bonus incentive opportunities) – as you demonstrate teamwork, professionalism, learn additional RV Service Technician skills and gain additional RVTI Certifications. 

    Schedule: Monday-Friday, some weekend work may be required and/or made available to earn extra pay incentives.

    Job Duties

  • Receive job priorities from Service Advisor or Foreman

  • Test, diagnose, and make repairs to RVs using diagnostic tools, and according to manufacturer’s instructions and mechanical knowledge and skills

  • Install equipment and accessories onto RVs and test for proper function; provide instructions to the customer on proper use and care

  • Review and update work orders and details, customer concerns, and any related information relative to repair work using the computer system

  • Safely transport vehicles to and from repair areas

  • Assist the parts team in expediting needed parts and materials to avoid time delays

  • Perform light indoor shop maintenance

  • Perform housekeeping in the service shop, such as sweeping and general cleaning, throughout the workday

  • Record and report description of any external damage discovered to vehicles

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma

  • Experience using basic hand and power tools

  • Manufacturing experience, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, building trades, or mechanical experience preferred, but not required

    Competencies

  • Ability to follow safety instructions and promote a safe working environment

  • Ability to read technical diagrams or blueprints

  • Customer friendly, observant and well organized

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team, in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in following verbal and written guidelines to perform job functions

    Physical and Environmental Conditions

  • Talking and hearing, walking and sitting, using hands to grasp, pushing, pulling, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching with arms/hands, are required.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 20 pounds frequently, to move objects.

  • Exposure to some inside and outside adverse environmental conditions, such as fumes, dust, oils and lubricating fluids, mechanical moving parts, moving vehicles, fluctuating weather conditions, and occasional hazardous chemicals or materials.
