Shift: Days & weekends

Hours Per Week: 20 Hours/Week

Hiring Range : $31.68-$42.38

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities: • Assesses patient for appropriate type and frequency of treatment and develops a plan of care based on diagnosis.

• Implements and monitors patient care plan and equipment. Monitors, records and communicates patient condition. Performs advanced respiratory care modalities.

• Evaluates respiratory practice, administration of medications, and treatment based on patient outcome.

• Educates the patient and family about the health condition and provides information about community support groups and other available programs.

• Responds to emergency resuscitation team code.

Education:

• High school diploma/GED required

Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date • Licensed Respiratory Therapist • New York Board of Respiratory Therapy

Preferred Credential(s) : • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) . Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRC). Must be able to speak, read, write and follow instructions in English.
